- I'm a Celebrity... will return later this year
- Hosts Ant and Dec share where it will film
- They also mention future spinoff series
I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! is set to return to the country where it started! Ant McPartlin, who is one half of the show's hosting duo along with Declan Donnelly, recently opened up about why the show plans to head down under again next season.
McPartlin calls Australia show's "spiritual home"
McPartlin and Donnelly, who have been with I'm a Celebrity since the show began years ago, hosted the previous two seasons in north Wales. However, now that travel is more feasible again, they shared that they feel like it's time for the reality series to return to Australia! "It's got to go back to its spiritual home," McPartlin explained to the hosts. "Everyone wants to see a bit of sunshine at that time of year on the telly."
In the past, stars such as Caitlyn Jenner and Vicky Pattison have appeared on the popular program, which sees celebrity contestants compete in bizarre challenges in the hopes of being crowned King or Queen of the Castle. As the Daily Mail mentions, last year Donnelly also joked about how he and McPartlin "can torment them more in Australia" because of the challenging climate and "creep crawlies" found in the country.

McPartlin also brought up the series' long-speculated 'all stars' spinoff, revealing on Thursday's episode of This Morning that this is indeed something that's in the works! "The spinoff show will be in South Africa," he shared with the show's hosts. We look forward to seeing what Ant and Dec have in store for I'm a Celebrity when it returns to iTV later this year!
