- Who will be the new "James Bond"?
- Many fans want Idris Elba
- However, he is fed up with the discussion
When it comes to the new "James Bond", many famous names are involved. In addition to Tom Hardy (44) and Regé-Jean Page (34), Idris Elba (49) is also at the top of the list. Elba has long been known as a favorite successor to Daniel Craig's (54) "007". But he is quite annoyed by the constant questions about the rumors.
The actor is tired of being asked over and over again if he is going to play "James Bond". On the Jemele Hill is Unbothered podcast, Idris explained:"I don't have any more answers. I just tell people, 'Oh, don't ask me that.'"
This is how Idris Elba reacts to "Bond" questions
Idris believes he has answered all the questions about the role of the legendary spy and finds it "lazy" that he is constantly asked about it by the media. The "Luther" actor added:
“I have no more answers for it. I just tell people ‘aw, don’t ask me that.’ Because a lot of times it’s really lazy journalism. And people try to use it as clickbait like ‘what’s he gonna say this time?’ I try to say the same things..."
Also Interesting:
"Every now and then I just tease them, but every now and then I’ll give them some philosophy on why I don’t want to do it or why it’s a rumor. But most times now I tend not to talk about it,” he adds.
It was recently reported that Idris Elba has broken off talks with "Bond" producers to pursue "his own film franchise". But the star has apparently suggested other potential "007" actors to producer Barbara Broccoli.
