The series will explore each book across an entire season. Warner Bros. is currently negotiating with author J.K. Rowling, who could join the project as a producer, 'Deadline' reports.

According to 'Variety', the series has been in an early stage of development since 2021 and talks have already been held with screenwriters.

Rowling wrote a total of seven novels about the famous wizard student, published between 1997 and 2007. More than 500 million books are said to have been sold worldwide, 180 million of them in the U.S. alone.
The film adaptations of the books are comprised of eight parts. The first film premiered in 2001, the last part was released in 2011. There is also a spin-off film series based on Rowling's 2001 book 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them', which launched in 2016. Three parts have been released so far.
