The musical film Grease came out in 1978 and it was based on a stage production of the same name. The story goes as follows: "Sandra 'Sandy' Dee Olson" (Olivia Newton-John) falls in love with "Danny Zuko" (John Travolta) during their summer holidays. When "Sandy's" family moves after the summer, she coincidentally starts attending the same school as "Danny"— and so the love story begins...

"Danny" is a member of the "T-Birds" and falls in love with "Sandy". The two decide to go together to the school dance competition. But the "T-Birds" manage to prevent "Sandy" from coming, so "Danny" has to dance with his ex-girlfriend— and wins! "Sandy" is devastated, and "Danny" really wants to win her back. They eventually do end up together and admit their love to each other with the classic song "You're The One That I Want"...

Olivia Newton-John was not only known as an actress but also as a singer. She was one of the biggest stars of the seventies and eighties. Over the course of her career, she won numerous prizes, including four Grammys and eight American Music Awards. She was married to John Easterling and had a daughter. Olivia sadly passed away in 2022.

"Danny" is a member of the "T-Birds," and the gang constantly gets involved with "Danny" and "Sandy's" love life. "Kenickie", played by Jeff Conaway, is also a member of the "T-Birds" and he falls in love with "Betty Rizzo". The "T-Birds" prepare for a car race against the rival gang, the "Scorpions". "Kenickie" feels ready for the race, but he gets hit in the head and can't drive, which is why "Danny" races their car, "Grease Lightning", and WINS.

Jeff Conaway played the role of "Kenickie". He became renowned for his roles in the movies Grease, The Patriot and The Ghost Writer. His most popular role was probably that of "Zack Allan" in the series Babylon 5. For his role in the sitcom Taxi, he was nominated Golden Globe Award in 1979 and in 1980. In 2011, Conaway died at the age of 61. Reportedly, his addiction to painkillers caused his death.

After "Sandy" arrives at "Rydell High", she becomes a member of the "Pink Ladies". Another member of the group is "Betty Rizzo," who begins flirting with "Kenickie", a member of the 'T-Birds'. "Rizzo" becomes really worried, because she thinks she's pregnant. At the end of the movie, it turns out she was worried for nothing, and all is well between her and "Kenickie".
