Friday Night Lights is a TV drama based on the best-selling book and 2004 film of the same name. It revolves around a high-school football team in the fictional town of Dillon in West Texas. Dillon itself is a small tight-knit community that, throughout the series, tackles the many issues facing American society today such as family values, school funding, racism, drugs, and the lack of financial support for the schools. The series gained a huge following during its time on the air even winning countless awards such as the Peabody Award, a Television Critics Association Award, and several Primetime Emmy Awards. "Luke Cafferty"

"Luke Cafferty" is one of the characters that was introduced later on in the series. At the beginning of his tenure, he plays for the West Dillon Football team, before having to switch football teams dues to him actually living in East Dillon. He is a focused, hard-working individual with a bright future in collegiate football, but he decides to take a different path after high school. Famously a womanizer, his character was a fan favorite.

Matt Lauria Today

Matt Lauria starred in several shows over the years including Lipstick Jungle and 30 Rock before his role on Friday Night Lights. After the series ended in 2011, Lauria moved to Chicago to star in the Fox Crime Drama Chicago Code, which was canceled after one season. Since then he has had recurring roles on other shows such as Parenthood and Kingdom.

"Vince Howard"

Another character introduced in season 4 of Friday Night Lights, "Vince Howard" is also a very talented athlete who was given the choice of either joining the East Dillon football team or going to a juvenile detention center. Throughout the series, he goes through a string of good and bad times mostly revolving around his family, especially his overbearing father.

Michael B. Jordan is one of the former cast members that really moved on to become very popular throughout Hollywood over the years. After his role on Friday Night Lights, Michael decided to branch out into the film industry starring in blockbusters like Fantastic Four, Parenthood, Fahrenheit 451, Creed, and Black Panther. Then he was voted People's 2020 Sexiest Man Alive! A title very well deserved!

"Jason Street" is the star quarterback of the Dillon Panthers who was eventually paralyzed from the chest down during the first game of his senior year. Throughout the series, he adjusts to his injury and eventually works as a coach and also as a sports agent.

Scott Porter Today

Scott Porter moved into the more animated side of television shortly after his run on Friday Night Lights starring in series such as Marvel Anime: Wolverine, Marvel Anime: X-Men, Ultimate Spider-Man, and Scorpion. He has also lent his voice to several video game developers who have created games inspired by the franchises he has worked with and he had a short recurring role on The Good Wife.

"Landry Clark"

One of the "nerdier" juniors in season 1, "Landry Clarke" is best friends with the Panthers quarterback "Matt Saracen" and eventually joins the football team himself in season 2.He is also one of the stars who go on to make it big!

Jesse Plemons's first big role was in the series Friday Night Lights. He has since then moved on to much bigger roles in series like Breaking Bad, Fargo, No Activity, and Black Mirror. He has two movies coming out in 2018: Game Night and Martin Scorsese's The Irishman. Jesse has been with actress Kirsten Dunst since they worked together on Fargo in 2016. The two also had a son together in 2018!

"Tyra Collette"

"Tyra Collette" is portrayed as the "Dillon" high school bad girl before the school counselor "Tami", decides to taker her under her wing. What followed was "Tyra" eventually cleaning up her act and actually being accepted to the University of Texas towards the end of the series.
