- Fans have been hoping for a return of 'Fixer Upper' for years
- Now their wish will be granted
- Details emerge about the new format
In 2017, Chip (48) and Joanna Gaines (44) ended their renovation show in order to spend more time with family and work on other projects. Although they have been seen on TV again and again since then, the two did not want to go back to the old format... until now.
'Fixer Upper' comeback: This project awaits us
"A new season of 'Fixer Upper' is coming this fall and revolves around Joanna and Chip Gaines' most exciting project yet: a boutique hotel in the heart of the Texas city of Waco," says Magnolia in an Instagram post.
In the accompanying trailer, the couple declare that they want to open an old hotel, but there is a lot of renovation work to be done. The first scenes already give an idea of how exciting 'Fixer Upper: The Hotel' will be.
Fans are over the moon and can't wait to see their favourite couple back on screens."I'm even happier! I need my renovation shows,” writes a YouTube user under the trailer, for example.

The series will be available on the new streaming service Max, the exact date is not yet known. If watching the Gaines' at work in the hotel isn't enough, you can even book a room there afterwards. The Hotel 1928, as it is officially called, opens in the fall.
