Extraction is Netflix's new action thriller starring Chris Hemsworth! It will hit Netflix later this month on April 24. In the movie, Hemsworth plays "Tyler Rake," a mercenary who's hired to rescue a kidnapped child. Watch the first trailer below!

Chris Hemsworth's new action movie trailer on Netflix

Netflix officially describes the film's plot as follows:

"Tyler Rake (Chris Hemsworth) is a fearless black market mercenary who embarks on the deadliest mission of his career when he’s enlisted to rescue the kidnapped son of an international crime lord."

The trailer sees Hemsworth's character navigate high-stakes action in India's underworld of criminals and drug traffickers.

Extraction: Watch Netflix's new thriller soon!

Extraction is written and produced by the Russo brothers, who previously helmed multiple Avengers movies, including Infinity War and Endgame. Avengers star Chris Hemsworth ("Thor") is also on as a producer for the new film.

It's the directorial debut of Sam Hargrave, who's worked in the stunt department on earlier Avengers movies. Stranger Things star David Harbour also appears in Extraction.

Watch for Extraction on Netflix in just a few weeks! It debuts on Friday, April 24. With the lack of new big-screen releases during quarantine, anticipation has grown for Netflix's new movies. This should be one for the action, thriller, and superhero (and Hemsworth) fans out there!
