Eve Jeffers-Cooper has revealed that this season of The Talk will be her last! As People shares, Eve's announcement came during Monday's episode of the daytime talk show, where the rapper opened up about the circumstances that led her to make her decision.
Eve explains that her decision is due to logistics of travel
Eve began by talking about how the coronavirus pandemic impacting people's ability to travel back and forth between countries has made co-hosting the show challenging for her. That's because, as People mentions, Eve is currently living in London, England with her husband, Maximillion Cooper!
"It's been a crazy year, obviously for all of us," she said. "And I'm so grateful that I'm able to stay here in London and do the show, but I can't see for me, the foreseeable future of traveling back at the moment, and have decided that at the end of December, this will probably be my last time on the show, in this capacity as a host."
Eve gives heartfelt goodbye speech to fellow co-hosts
Eve then went on to address her fellow co-hosts— Carrie Ann Inaba, Sheryl Underwood, and Sharon Osbourne— telling them how their time on the show together has impacted her life. "This is one of the hardest decisions in the world because I wish I hated one of you, but I don't," she jokingly told the trio. "I have had the most beautiful experience. I've grown as a woman, as a person.
"I've said it once, I'll say it again, I never thought that being on a talk show would be this much of an opening of my spirit, soul, personality, everything," Eve continued. "Sitting on stage with all you women has been the best thing ever. I truly love you." And as People shares, her co-hosts echoed the sentiment!
Eve calls being home with husband "such a blessing"
Eve's fellow hosts on the show may be saddened by the news of her departure, but they showed nothing but love for her. Inaba told her that "real friends support one another," while Osbourne said that "there is a big place here for you always in my heart" and mentioned her biggest wish for her friend. "Eve, I love and respect you, always, always," she said. "I just want you to be happy."
Eve revealed that getting to spend more time with her husband also influenced her decision. "Staying home has been such a blessing because my husband and I got to know each other in a different way, a beautiful way," she said. "So I want to be closer to him. I want to concentrate on expanding our family, being with my family." We're sad to hear that Eve is leaving The Talk, but wish her all the best in whatever her future may bring!
