- 'Sex/Life' is a popular Netflix show
- Unfortunately season 2 doesn't match up
- An early cancelation disappoints fans
An early demise for a fan favourite
The highly anticipated second season of 'Sex/Life' premiered just five weeks ago, but unlike season one, it was two episodes shorter.
Although the end of the second season is a conclusive one, it was not the intention to end the series there.
"The last episode was never meant to be a series finale, that's for sure," showrunner Stacy Rukeyser told 'The Hollywood Reporter'.
"I know there are always more stories to tell with these characters in the 'Sex/Life' universe, and I hope we get the chance to tell those stories. It was important that we get to a meaningful place with each character this season," Rukeyser continues.
The second season just didn't perform
But the numbers speak for themselves: The first season was watched for 232.79 million hours within three weeks of airing.
The second season of 'Sex/Life' garnered only 126.8 million hours watched - a drop of about 45 percent!
