Dolly Parton and Danica McKeller, queen of country music and queen of Hallmark Christmas movies, have joined forces to bring to life Hallmark Christmas Channel's Christmas at Dollywood. The movie is set to premiere on the Hallmark Channel on December 8th at 8 p.m.
Danica McKeller stars in Christmas at Dollywood
Danica McKeller will be playing "Rachel," who is an event planner and single mom that returns to her Appalachian roots to plan Dollywood's 30th annual Smoky Mountain Christmas extravaganza. Of course, there is just one problem: the event must be huge and sparkly and "Rachel" has been put together with an uninspired operations director played by Niall Matter. Dolly Parton will of course be playing herself in the film.
Christmas at Dollywood is one of 40 Hallmark films this year
In the first-look pictures, it's clear that Christmas at Dollywood will be a glamorous movie full of sparkles, giant candy canes and holiday magic. Christmas at Dollywood is one of 40 holiday films debuting on the Hallmark Channel this Christmas season.
