Dick Wolf Celebrated 30th Anniversary of Law & Order
On Sunday Dick Wolf celebrated three decades of Law & Order by posting a throwback photo from the filming of the first season of the police drama. In it, we get a behind the scenes look at filming with smiling handsome Chris Noth in the center. Chris famously played "Detective Mike Logan" for the first five seasons of the hit show. The photo was captioned "#OnThisDay: 30 years ago today, a show called #LawandOrder premiered."
The original series premiered in 1990 starring Jerry Orbach, Steven Hill, S. Epatha Merkerson, Sam Waterson, Jesse L. Martin and lasted for 20 full seasons and spurned hit spin-offs like Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., and now Law & Order: Organized Crime will follow "Detective Elliot Stabler" from Law & Order: SVU.
The new season of Law & Order: SVU will be addressing the Black Lives Matter Movement and what happens to sexual assault victims during the coronavirus pandemic.
Executive Producer Dick Wolf is now 73 years old and has an incredible television history under his belt. Happy Law & Order anniversary, Dick!
