CSI: Crime Scene Investigation could be returning to CBS for a special event series to celebrate its twentieth anniversary! The show ended back in 2015 with a special two-hour finale movie, Immortality.
This potential revival series would be a sequel to CSI's original 15-year run on TV.

What we know about the new CSI series
Reportedly, the original creative team behind CSI is in the early stages of discussions to bring the show back to the CBS network. It would be a limited run for the show, which also previously saw the spinoffs CSI: Miami, CSI: NY, and CSI: Cyber.
It is unclear at this time whether or not CSI regulars such as Ted Danson and Marg Helgenberger will return for the limited series, or if the show will pursue a new direction.

While this CSI revival is still in the early stages of development, this news is certainly promising for fans of the show! CSI originally ran from 2000 to 2015. Now, it seems that the show's creators want to repay fans for those years of commitment as the show in 2020 celebrates twenty years since its first season.
