Katharine McPhee makes her return to TV in Netflix's Country Comfort. The musician and actress stars in the streamer's new original series that premieres with a 10-episode first season on March 19. It's McPhee's first leading TV role since Scorpion and Smash before that.
Country Comfort: Katharine McPhee's new comedy TV show
Country Comfort is a country music comedy that sees McPhee play "Bailey," an aspiring country singer who by chance stumbles upon a job as a nanny for "Beau," a widower and father of five.
Netflix writes, "With a never-give up attitude and loads of Southern charm, this newbie-nanny is able to navigate the family dynamics and be the mother figure they've been missing. To her surprise, 'Bailey' also gets the band she's been missing in this musically talented family who help get her back on the road to stardom."
