Both the film and television show Clueless were such a success back in the 1990's that more than 10 years later a TV series reboot is in the works at CBS Television Studios! The original version, starring Alicia Silverstone as "Cher", Stacey Dash as "Dionne", and Paul Rudd as "Josh," revolves around the life of a rich and popular girl at a Beverly Hills high school, whose interaction with friends, as well as her romantic relationships end up being quite intriguing!
This is everything we know about the new Clueless
What we know so far is that the new Clueless, also set in high school, will center in "Dionne." Exciting news is that there will reportedly be a mystery twist also described as "a baby pink and bisexual blue-tinted, tiny sunglasses-wearing, oat milk latté and Adderall-fueled look at what happens when the high school queen bee 'Cher' disappears." Will "Dionne" be able to handle her life as the new most popular girl in school?
The new Clueless will be executive produced by Corinne Brinkerhoff, also known for her work in No Tomorrow, and American Gothic, while Gus Hickey and Jordan Reddout, Will & Grace writers, will be in charge of developing the storyline. It is very unlikely that Stacey Dash will reprise her role as "Dionne" considering she has been dealing with personal issues in the past few years, including an arrest for an apparent domestic violence incident. Will Paul Rudd take over his legendary role as "Josh"? What about Alicia Silverstone?
We don't have the answers yet but we will definitely keep you posted!
