The death of American model Christy Giles (†24) shocked not only those in her home country but also the whole world. The case has remained a mystery. She and her friend Hilda Marcela Cabrales-Arzola (†26) were dumped outside LA hospitals in November.
Christy's husband Jan Cillier claims there is a video that shows how the women were abandoned by three masked men in front of different hospitals. On a GoFundMe page, he alleges the women were drugged.
Christy was pronounced dead on arrival, and Hilda Marcela was taken off life support two weeks later. According to various media reports, the two were left to die while under the influence of drugs.
Christy Giles murder suspect arrested on NCIS: LA set
Now, however, there is a new lead in the Christy Giles case. It took investigators to the set of the popular TV series NCIS: LA. According to Deadline, an actor working as an extra on NCIS: LA was arrested on Dec. 15.
Actor Brandt Osborn reportedly just finished a scene when he was arrested on the set in Hollywood. Two other men were also arrested in a separate location. The actor is accused of aiding and abetting manslaughter.
Further details on the course of the arrest are not known. It remains unclear if the filming was interrupted or if the main cast members were present.
Before their deaths, Christy Giles and Hilda Marcela Cabrales-Arzola were partying in LA. Heroin was found in Christy's system when she was discovered. Her husband is certain that the incident was a violent crime.
According to Christy's husband, she never would have taken drugs "voluntarily." Also, the final message Christy sent to her friend Hilda was reportedly: "Let's get out of here."
Further investigations are not yet known, but many are watching closely for updates. To support the case, the crowdfunding website GoFundMe is now running a fundraising campaign for justice.
