Chinese society returning to normalcy after COVID-19
China had been on lockdown since late January. Their movie theatre closures prompted headlines about premiere cancellations and contributed to the eventual postponement of major film releases - including No Time To Die, F9, and Wonder Woman 1984. European and North American theatres eventually followed suit and today remain closed.
According to People, China reported its first day without new COVID-19 cases on March 19. The country will now ease citizens back into typical routines, which include the return of local cinemas.
