Cast Of 'Dallas': What Happened To Them?

The prime time television soap opera Dallas was produced from 1978 to 1991. It takes place in Dallas, Texas and centers around the life of the "Ewing" family which has to deal with internal power struggles, intrigue and money hungry relatives. In total, 14 seasons and three TV movies were produced and when it comes to ratings, Dallas still is one of the he most successful TV series ever. From 2012 until 2014, a reboot of Dallas went on the air on TNT with many actors, who had already been part of the original show.

"J.R. Ewing Jr." is the eldest son of "Jock" and "Miss Ellie". He runs the company "Ewing Oil". He does not shy away from crude methods to get his way - the only thing he is reluctant about, is murder...

Larry Hagman was famous for his role in the television series I Dream of Jeannie, but he became a TV legend with his role in Dallas. He started work as an actor in 1965, Hagman and appeared in several films and TV productions. He even took part in the Dallas revival in 2012 although he'd been diagnosed with throat cancer in 2011. He eventually succumbed to the illness on November 23rd in 2012 at the age of 81. He'd been married to his wife Maj for 58 years!

"Bobby Ewing" is the youngest brother of "J.R.. Ewing Jr.". His marriage with "Pam" is frowned upon, especially by "J.R." and "Cliff". First he works as a salesman for "Ewing Oil" and later moves up into the management of the company. "Bobby" is regarded as a respectable businessman, however, he can be too tough if he wants to achieve his goals.

Patrick Duffy's first real role on TV was in the series Man from Atlantis. However, he achieved his breakthrough with Dallas and afterwards went on to star in Step by Step for seven years. From 2006 until 2011, he was part of the main cast of The Bold & The Beautiful. He also slipped in many other roles and working as a voice actor. In the Dallas reboot, Duffy again played the role of "Bobby Ewing". Since 1974, he has been married to Carlyn Rosser, with whom he has two sons.

"Sue Lockwood" is married to "J.R." and the two experience many ups and downs in their marriage . "Sue" and "J.R.." have a son named "John Ross". "Sue" is a former beauty queen and has a drinking problem, but tries to fight this addiction. As much as she tries to get her problem under control, she falls off the wagon quite regularly.

Linda Gray became world famous with her role in "Dallas". Previously she worked as a model – her legs became famous worldwide because they were (and not those of actress Anne Banncroft) the ones on the title poster of the film "The Graduate". After "Dallas", she slipped into many more, but rather lesser-known roles. She is also in the sequel of "Dallas". From 1962 to 1983 she was married to Ed Thrascher, with whom she has two children.

Before she married "Bobby", "Pamela Ewing" was with "Ray Krebbs". "Pam" and "Bobby" adopt a baby and dame the boy "Christopher". "Pamela" has very high moral values, which is why she often competes with "J.R." and "Bobby". Just as "Miss Ellie", she tried everything to keep the family together. In a serious accident she suffers bad burns all over her body which is why she eventually leaves town and divorces "Bobby".

Victoria Principal began her career in 1972 in the film "The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean", for which she received a Golden Globe nomination as "Best New actress". Then, she starred in the films "The Naked Ape" and "Earthquake". Minor roles followed, until she finally landed her role on "Dallas". Victoria Principal was married twice, with Christopher Skinner, who took over a small supporting role in "Dallas", was one of her two husbands.

Together with his brothers, "Jason" and "Digger Barnes", "Jock Ewing" founded the company "Ewing Oil". During the great depression, he bought all shares of his co-founders, making him the sole owner of the company. He made the company into a profitable business. With his wife, "Miss Ellie", he had three children, and he also has an illegitimate son, "Ray Krebbs". "Jock" dies in a helicopter crash in South America. His sudden and shocking death on the show was because he was diagnosed with bone marrow cancer while filming season four...He eventually passed away in the spring of 1981, at the age of 72.
