Almost 10 years after making her screen debut with The Boarding School, actress Blanca Suárez conquered Netflix and won the lead role of "Lidia" on Cable Girls. She's one of the new telephone operators who arrives in Madrid hiding a great secret.

During her early career, Suárez starred in important TV projects, including the series The Boat, Beauty and the Beast, Carlos, Rey Emperador and Lo que escondían sus ojos.

She's also well-known for movie roles in The Skin I Live In (2011) and I'm So Excited (2013)—both by Pedro Almodóvar—The Bar (2017) and Despite Everything (2019), one of the first Netflix movies filmed in Spain.

Ana Fernández was going through a perfect moment in her career when she was cast as "Carlota Rodríguez," an upper-class young woman who leaves her parents' home for political and social reasons.

Before Cable Girls, she was well-known in Spain owing to lead roles on Cuestión de sexo, Los Protegidos, and soap opera Love in Difficult Times.

What's more, Fernández also played a role in the famous youth series Physics or Chemistry before reaching stardom.

Recently, the actress, who's also a stage star, was seen in movie Proyecto tiempo (2018) and Netflix series Drug Squad: Costa del Sol.

In addition, Ana Fernández fans await the release of new film Girls (Cavalas), a comedy about four friends who reunite after parting ways in their youth.

In Cable Girls, actress Nadia de Santiago plays "Marga Suárez," a fearful village girl who cuts ties with her old life and takes on work in Madrid.

When Nadia de Santiago landed a main role on Cable Girls, her acting talents had already been on display for some time.

12 years earlier, she debuted in the series Hospital Central and just months later got a support role in the series Javier ya no vive solo.

Afterwards, de Santiago appeared in series such as Ana y los 7, Paco's Men, Cambio de Clase, and Love in Difficult Times — in which she acted in over 500 episodes. 

In 2019, the Spanish star was seen in short film Gladiadores and the movie The Incredible Shrinking Wknd (2019), selected at the Malaga Film Festival.

There is no doubt that the work done by Ana Polvorosa as "Sara Millán" became one of the bright spots in Cable Girls.

On the one hand, she showed constant growth throughout the series, from the emotional to the physical. On the other hand, Polvorosa performance only got better and better, chapter after chapter of the series.

Ana Polvorosa's work on Cable Girls did not spring up out of the blue. On the contrary, it's the product of a career full of risky projects and roles other actresses might have passed on.

Projects such as the controversial cult film Sex, Party and Lies, from 2009, or even more scandalous yet, Skin, from 2017, are among her best-known movies.

Now that Cable Girls aired its final season, viewers can continue enjoying Polvorosa's talent in La Fortuna, the first series by Spanish filmmaker Alejandro Amenábar. There, by the way, she'll co-star with Álvaro Mel and Stanley Tucci.

The Spanish Netflix drama entrusted actress Maggie Civantos to play the most complicated role on Cable Girls: "Ángeles Vidal." She's a woman with an apparently perfect life who discovers that her husband, "Sergio," is unfaithful to her with one of the telephone company secretaries.
