Bryan Cranston, who we all know from 'Malcolm in the Middle,' is one of the most important actors in Hollywood. In 'Breaking Bad,' he plays the overqualified chemistry teacher "Walter White," who is diagnosed with lung cancer. To get the money for his cancer treatment, he begins to produce crystal meth with his former student "Jesse Pinkman". All the money "White" earns goes to his family's financial security.

Bryan Cranston, AKA "Heisenberg", was praised for his performance as "Walter White" and has been awarded accordingly. He has won a grand total of 6 Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe for his outstanding performance. As of 2024, Cranston continues to have a prolific career. He has starred in Broadway productions, including the Tony Award-winning role in 'Network,' and appeared in films like 'The One and Only Ivan.' He is also involved in voice work like in 'Kung Fu Panda 4'.

'Breaking Bad' was Aaron Paul's big breakthrough on the small screen. Paul played "Walter White's" former student "Jesse Pinkman", his partner with whom he cooked crystal meth with. "Pinkman" battled his own drug problem during the course of the series, which, in turn, led to enough drama and heartbreak. "White" and "Pinkman's" relationship was always a difficult one. On one hand, "White" acts like a father to "Pinkman", but on the other hand, "Jesse" feels like "White" often manipulates him into doing things he doesn't feel are morally right.

Aaron Paul has in fact received 3 Emmys for his amazing performance in 'Breaking Bad.' Paul has been busy with various projects. He starred in the 'Breaking Bad' prequel 'El Camino' and continues to work on other film and TV roles. He has also been involved in voice acting for animated series and is set to appear in the upcoming film 'Ash.'

Anna Gunn plays "Walter White's" wife "Skyler White". At the beginning of the show, "Walter" and "Skyler's" marriage seems to be fairly stable, but continuously suffers throughout the series due to "Walter's" strange behaviour and constant secrets he keeps from his wife. After "Walter" reveals his secret to "Skyler," the skillful accountant begins to wash "Walter's" drug money.

Many fans were shocked after seeing Anna Gunn's drastic weight loss at the Golden Globes back in 2014. During the series production, she had gained quite a lot of weight, which was actually due to a disease she had at the time, according to Gunn. She has continued her acting career with roles in shows like 'The Mindy Project' and 'Sugar.'

RJ Mitte played the role of "Walter's" teenage son "Walter White Jr.". "Walter Jr." was born with cerebral palsy and had problems walking and speaking. RJ Mitte actually has cerebral palsy in real life, but in a much more minor form.

RJ Mitte changed a lot during his 7 years on the set of Breaking Bad. He was only 15 at the beginning of the show. Mitte has continued to raise awareness about cerebral palsy and is involved in various acting projects. He stars in the upcoming film 'Love Me Dead' and remains an advocate for disability rights.

Betsy Brandt played the role of "Skyler White's" sister "Marie Schrader". "Marie" is "Hank Schrader's" wife, who is a DEA agent.

After her time on 'Breaking Bad,' Betsy Brandt starred in the series Masters of Sex in 2014 and on the show Life in Pieces from 2015 until 2019. She continues to be active in both TV and film.
