In a tweet, Netflix called Ricci "magnificent," revealing that she will be taking on "an exciting new character" for the series. As Deadline has shared, the actress's role is a major one! That's because Ricci is set to be a series regular in Wednesday, with a character said to be similar to the one Thora Birch would have played in the show. Birch was reportedly going to play "Wednesday's" dorm mother before she exited the project.
