Disney has already scored several hits with live-action adaptations of its classics. Among others, animated films such as 'Cinderella', 'Beauty and the Beast', 'Aladdin' and 'Mulan', have been remade.

And since May 26, 2023, the classic "Arielle" from 1989 has also joined the ranks of live-action film adaptations. But that's not all: "Arielle" currently has the highest number of satisfied viewers of all Disney live-action remakes on Rotten Tomatoes.

The figure is 95 percent (as of May 31, 2023). By way of comparison, 'Cinderella' has a rating of 78 percent. The Disney original from 1989 also fails to match the remake, with an audience rating of 88 percent (as of May 31, 2023).
The only Disney original film with a higher rating is 'Cruella' at 97 percent, though this is not technically a remake, but a completely reimagined film.
The Internet platform 'Rotten Tomatoes' is a website for compiling critic and audience reviews for film and television.
