Global cinemas buzzing with 'Barbie'
The hit movie, which cause a national pink shortage due to how much of the colour was used on set, has already earned over $337 million globally!
"We thought it would be $75 million for the opening weekend. Nobody saw $155 million coming. This doll has long legs," says Warner Bros domestic distribution president Jeff Goldstein.This marks the record for the biggest opening weekend for a solo female director ever.
'Barbie' was not the only success story at the box office this weekend. Thanks to the viral 'Barbenheimer' craze, moviegoers chose to celebrate the release of Christopher Nolan's 3-hour historical epic 'Oppenheimer' as a double feature to 'Barbie'.
