Just over a year after her last leading role in film, Angelina Jolie is already preparing her return to the big screen with an interesting romance drama. The new film, Every Note Played, is an STX Films production based on the novel by Lisa Genova in which Jolie would play a woman who has to face the problems she has with her ex-husband while he is ill. Angelina Jolie returns to the movies with Every Note Played
This week, Variety announced that Angelina Jolie is in final talks to join the cast of the drama Every Note Played, where she would play one of the main characters.
According to Variety, Jolie would play "Karina", the ex-wife of a renowned pianist named "Richard" - played by Christoph Waltz - who gets diagnosed with ALS in his hands.
Despite her problems and the pain that remained after the two separated, "Karina" decides to return with her partner and take care of him when he loses the ability to play and live on his own.
Michael Sucsy will direct the project with the script written by Monet Clayton.
Angelina Jolie: Back in the spotlight
With her participation in Every Noted Played, the also director and Oscar winner would add another project to her interesting list of titles after a couple of years away from the screen.
More than a year after her appearance in Maleficent: Mistress of Evil (2019), Angelina Jolie awaits the premiere of the drama Come away (2020), where she plays a supporting role, and Eternals, a Marvel film where the American actress portrays one of the members of a team of heroes.
Also, she recently confirmed her appearance in the upcoming film Those Who Wish Me Dead, director Taylor Sheridan's adaptation of Michael Koryta's novel of the same name.
Despite the ongoing custody battle between Jolie and her ex-husband Brad Pitt, the actress seems to be keeping her plate pretty full in the entertainment industry!
