The latest Disney live-action remake soared in its debut weekend. The estimated $112.7 million is the fifth-highest Memorial Day weekend total of all-time. The movie starring Will Smith and directed by Englishman Guy Ritchie is the first in a big year for Disney live-action remakes, with Dumbo out since March and The Lion King heading to the big screen this summer as well.
