Adam Sandler has given fans an early holiday gift by unveiling a teaser for 'Happy Gilmore 2.' The beloved comedy's sequel, set to debut on Netflix in 2025, features Sandler reprising his role as the fiery ex-hockey player turned golfer. On Instagram, Sandler shared the teaser with a festive message: "Happy Chanukah! Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays! And Happy Gilmore to all!!!!!!" The short clip shows Happy back on the golf course, donning his signature Boston Bruins jersey.

Star-studded cameos

The teaser introduces NFL star Travis Kelce, who makes a surprise appearance months after Sandler hinted at his involvement. Kelce, dressed as a waiter, greets Sandler's character with the line, "It's great to see you back, Mr. Gilmore." Sandler had previously joked about casting Kelce as his son, saying, "We were like, 'Imagine if Travis was my first baby, how funny that would be?' Just a badass." Kelce expressed his enthusiasm for the project on his podcast, stating he would be thrilled to be part of an Adam Sandler film.

Returning and new faces

Fans will be excited to see Julie Bowen reprise her role as Virginia Venit, Happy's love interest and public relations head. The teaser culminates in a dramatic graveyard showdown between Happy and his old adversary Shooter McGavin, played by Christopher McDonald. Newcomers to the cast include Bad Bunny, seen as a caddy, alongside Margaret Qualley, Scott Mescudi (Kid Cudi), Benny Safdie, and Nick Swardson.
