Nothing has been certain in Hollywood amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Starring Cobie Smulders, the show had already been renewed for a second season. This is all we know about the cancellation.

According to Variety, a source with the project said Stumptown was cancelled due to schedule and programming difficulties stemming from pandemic restrictions.

In the series, Smulders played veteran "Dex Parios," a woman who has to deal with her complicated love life, significant gambling debts, and caring for her brother in Portland, Oregon.

In addition to Smulders, known for her work as "Robin Scherbatsky" on How I Met Your Mother, the series also featured Michael Ealy (FlashForward), Adrian Martinez (Focus) and Jake Johnson (New Girl).

ABC hopes to sell Stumptown through its Studio ABC Signature label, which could give the promising show second life on another network. Stay tuned for any news as it develops!
