The classic action crime television series Walker, Texas Ranger starring Chuck Norris ended almost 20 years ago, but good news is that according to Variety, CBS Television Studios is currently working on a reboot, and the Supernatural star Jared Padalecki will reportedly take over the title role and executive produce the show. The original Walker, Texas Ranger, also starred Clarence Gilyard Jr., Sheree J. Wilson, and Noble Willingham, and ran for nearly 200 episodes from 1993 to 2001 on CBS.
This is what we know so far about the Walker, Texas Ranger reboot
The upcoming series will focus on "Walker" as he returns from years undercover and begins fighting crime with a new partner, who will be one of the only female Rangers in history. Apart from that, Anna Fricke is attached to write and executive produce the new version of the classic show; she is also known for her work in the Syfy series Being Human, as well as in the military drama Valor.
We are very used to see Jared Padalecki in his role as "Sam Winchester" in Supernatural (which will end in a couple of months after 15 seasons) but now we are very curious about seeing him portraying a completely different character in Walker, Texas Ranger!
