This week, Deadline reported that the channel The CW - famous for titles such as Riverdale, The Vampire Diaries, Supernatural and Gossip Girl - is preparing a live-action series that would continue the adventures of "Blossom", "Bubbles" and "Buttercup" beyond their adolescence.
According to the site, the project will return to the characters created by Craig McCracken and will turn them into three young twenty-somethings disappointed at having lost their childhood fighting crime. Although the trio decided to abandon their work as heroines and live a normal life, a terrible threat that falls on the world will make them ponder if it is worth returning to their mission and missing one of the most important stages of their lives.
There is no cast set for the series yet or a filming start date, however the channel is expected to announce the cast soon.
