1. "Yoda" was almost played by a monkey. However, as J.W. Rinzler writes in the book The Making of Star Wars, this idea ended up being quickly discarded.
2. "Yoda" was also originally named "Buffy". Fortunately, the screenwriter decided to change the character's name to "Yoda".
