- King Felipe is the head of Spain
- The royal's height is really impressive
- He is 27 cm taller than wife Queen Letizia
King Felipe VI has ruled over Spain since the abdication of his father King Juan Carlos I in 2014. He looks the part, too. The Spanish king towers over most at the impressive height of nearly two meters tall.
King Felipe is one of the biggest royals
King Felipe is probably one of the tallest kings ever. With a height of 1.97 m (6 ft 4), he has to bend down quite a bit to kiss his wife Queen Letizia. The Spanish queen is not that small at 1.70 m (5 ft 5), but next to her husband she looks pretty tiny.
Also interesting:
No wonder: the size difference between the royal couple is 27 cm (almost a foot). King Felipe of Spain certainly inherited his height from his parents.
Felipe's father is also quite tall: former King Juan Carlos measures 1.88 m (6 ft 1). And his mother Sofia, the former Queen of Spain, is not exactly small at 1.76 m (5 ft 7).
Would you have thought that the Spanish king is really THAT tall? While Felipe is particularly tall physically, more importantly, he shows true leadership in the office of king.
