Shortly before her death in Paris in 1997, Lady Diana († 36) spent a few happy days on the French coast. With her boyfriend Dodi Al-Fayed († 42), she sailed across the sea and was photographed by paparazzi while sunbathing.
Lady Diana: Memorable yacht has sunk
Now this memory of Princess Di is lost forever. As the 'Daily Mail' reports, the yacht Cujo has sunk. The boat once belonged to Al-Fayed and is now said to have sunk off Beaulieu-sur-Mer on the Côte d'Azur. It is said that the boat may have collided with an "unidentifiable object".
The seven passengers who were on board at the time of the accident were all rescued. The yacht, however, is said to have sunk 2500 meters to the bottom of the sea.
Only a few days before Diana's fatal car accident, she was able to enjoy some carefree time on the boat, even though the paparazzi were already after her at the time. In the end, a chase with the paparazzi cost her her life.
