Meghan's (37) close friends threw her a baby shower at The Mark Hotel in New York earlier this week. Close friends, including serious A-listers, Amal Clooney (41), Serena Williams (37) and Priyanka Chopra (36), were all in attendance, but one famous royal was missing, Duchess Kate (37).
It is believed that tennis pro Serena Williams hosted the Duchess of Sussex's baby shower at The Mark Hotel. Serena is rumoured to have rented out the hotel's penthouse suite, which costs a whopping £60,000 per night, but you do at least get five bedrooms and six bathrooms to be rich in.

Kate did not miss the shower due to any kind of rift between the two duchesses as some might presume, but because Kate is enjoying a well-deserved break with her family at the moment. Both Prince George and Princess Charlotte do not have to go to school this week as it is the half-term break and so the Cambridges are rumoured to be enjoying some time as a family. Unfortunately, we don't know exactly what the Cambridges are up to this week, they sometimes escape to their country home in Norfolk to spend time as a family, but rumour has it that Prince William and Duchess Kate might have whisked their three children away to the Alps for a skiing holiday.
Both Kate and William are keen skiers and in 2016 they visited the French Alps for a winter vacation with Prince George and Princess Charlotte. Prince William learnt skiing from a young age and often hit the slopes with his brother, Prince Harry, and mother, Princess Diana.
Meghan to have a second baby shower in the UK
Even though we are sure that Kate would have loved to have attended Meghan's stateside baby shower, the good news is that it looks as if the Duchess of Sussex will be having a second baby shower in the United Kingdom, which we are sure the Duchess of Cambridge will be delighted to attend.
