Duchess Meghan seemed to have landed a deal of a lifetime with the platform when it was announced. After her exit from the British royal family, it was reported that Duchess Meghan had signed a million-dollar deal with Spotify. In an interview with the BBC, Daniel Ek was asked directly whether Duchess Meghan's podcast was ultimately worth its 18 million pounds.
It was a nice experiment...
The Spotify CEO then initially explained that he had hoped for innovations from 'Archetypes', saying this: "We thought, ‘We can come in and offer a great experience that both makes consumers very happy and allows new creators new avenues’, Daniel said.
