- Duchess Meghan was awarded a prize
- However, she did not participate in the ceremony
- Insiders share the reason
Duchess Meghan (41) was already honoured last week in New York at the Women of Vision Awards for her lifelong commitment to women and girls. Now, she was to be honoured at the 49th Gracie Awards for her podcast Archetypes in the field of digital media. But the duchess was notably absent.
This is why Duchess Meghan did not come to the award show
After the Paparazzi chase last week Meghan's participation in the Gracie Awards was considered too unsafe. The incident is also what ultimately kept Meghan away from the show.
Prince Harry (38) and Duchess Meghan are said to be "scared and exhausted" after the chase through the city, Chris Sanchez, a member of their security team, told 'Express'.

Following the award show, Duchess Meghan came forward on her website to thank everyone for the award. "Thank you to the Alliance for Women in Media Foundation for this prestigious award. This is a joint success for me and the team behind Archetypes. Most of them are women and the inspiring guests that accompany me every week," Meghan said in her statement.
