- King Charles got a new wax figure
- This one doesn't look like the Royal at all
- Fans are confused
Maybe it's better that King Charles (74) wasn't in France when his new wax figure was unveiled in Paris. The Grevin Museum is now displaying the new King of Britain alongside their other figures.
King Charles' wax figure looks wrong
The work of artist Claus Velte was unveiled last week and caused confusion, because the figure is a very unfavourable representation of the monarch, especially from some angles.
In a clip of the unveiling published by Reuters, it is said that the artist used a number of photos of King Charles as a template.
Claus Velte already immortalized Angela Merkel in wax – with a similar result at the time.
On Twitter, some users have complained about the image of King Charles, which they believe does not reflect reality."I can't see who the wax figure is supposed to represent. This is a really false, deceptive, deceptive oneIllustration", writes one of them.
