What a time to be a royal! On Friday, Buckingham Palace announced new military appointments for nine members of the royal family, including Princess Kate. "The new appointments will continue to reflect the close relationship between the Armed Forces and the Royal Family in His Majesty’s reign," the palace said in a statement.

Princess Kate's list of official titles is huge!

So what does she call herself now? Kate becomes Commodore-in-Chief of the Fleet Air Arm, Colonel of the 1st Queen's Dragoon Guards and Royal Honorary Commander of the Coningsby-based Royal Air Force squadron of Eurofighter jets. That means, that Kate is a quite a collector now, because she's receiving three high military titles at once!

But there is a special one in the bunch. The latter appointment is particularly sentimental for Kate as one of her grandfathers served in the Royal Air Force, and reportedly worked with the late Prince Philip († 99)...
