• Horse falls on Zara Tindall during photo shoot
  • Incident reminiscent of previous riding accidents
  • Zara and Mike Tindall attend Magic Millions

Zara Tindall, daughter of Princess Anne, narrowly escaped serious injury during a photo shoot in Australia this week. The 43-year-old royal was on the Gold Coast for the prestigious Magic Millions event, where she serves as an ambassador.

While posing with three horses, one unexpectedly fell on Zara, knocking her sideways. A video published by MailOnline shows her holding the reins of two horses and smiling before the incident. Thankfully, she managed to jump out of the way just in time and was unharmed.

A series of riding accidents

This is not the first riding accident in the Tindall family. In September 2024, Zara fell during a cross-country event in Stamford, Lincolnshire, but emerged unscathed. Her mother, Princess Anne, was struck on the head by a horse six months earlier and suffered memory loss. Despite the injury, Anne quickly returned to her royal duties.

Magic Millions: An annual highlight

Zara and her husband, Mike Tindall, are frequent visitors to Australia, where they take part in the Magic Millions event. Since 2012, Zara has been the first Magic Millions Racing Women Ambassador, attending the annual Queensland event that culminates in a major racing spectacle. While Mike provides his witty commentary, Zara showcases her polo skills. The couple cherish their time in Australia, a place of special significance for them, as it was where they first met in 2003.
