The Royal Family will have to do without yet another Christmas tradition this year.
Queen Elizabeth II has already had to cancel her family's holiday luncheon, and now it looks like her beloved Christmas "church walk" won't happen either.
Queen Elizabeth cancelling Christmas church walk in 2021?
Traditionally, the Royal Family attends a church service on Christmas in Norfolk. After, they walk back to Sandringham and greet members of the public along the way. But Palace staff told the Mirror they "fully expect" the walk to be cancelled.
Apparently, there are fears that the church walk could become a "super-spreader" event for those in attendance. The UK has been hit hard by the COVID-19 variant Omicron, which has surfaced unfortunately just ahead of the holidays.
It's still undecided if the Queen will even head to Sandringham at all this month, as she always does with her family at Christmas. For the latest on royal Christmas plans, please watch the video above.
