On August 30, 1997, Lady Diana arrived in Paris with Dodi Fayed and stayed at the Hotel Ritz Paris. Shortly after midnight on the 31st, a decoy vehicle pulled up to the front of the hotel while Diana and those with her excited from the rear of the building.
