- Princess Anne is said to be the hardest working royal around
- Her children are also a huge part of her profile
- Here is a look at their life and times
In a dazzling 1973 wedding, Princess Anne married Captain Mark Phillips, and together they welcomed two children: Peter Phillips and Zara Tindall. But unlike their royal kin, these two grew up without titles, a decision their mother candidly discussed with 'Vanity Fair' in 2020. "I think that was probably the right thing to do," Anne said, acknowledging the "downsides to having titles."
Peter Phillips: from royal birth to private sector success!
"After informing HM The Queen and members of both families last year, Peter and Autumn jointly agreed to separate. They had reached the conclusion that this was the best course of action for their two children and ongoing friendship," reads the couple's statement in part.
Peter Phillips, born in the prestigious Lindo Wing of St. Mary's Hospital, was the first grandchild of Queen Elizabeth, once fifth in line for the throne, now 17th.
He's carved out a life away from royal duties, diving into the world of sports management and even launching his own firm. His personal life made waves when he and Autumn Kelly divorced after 13 years, but he's since found love again with Lindsay Wallace, even introducing her to his grandmother, the late Queen.
Peter is not what's known as a "working royal." He's held positions at Jaguar, Williams F1 racing team, the Royal Bank of Scotland, and most recently SEL UK. 'Debrett's' also has reported that he has "his own sports management company."
In 2016, the 'Telegraph' described him as the Queen's favorite grandson. Phillips spoke to the paper about his relationship with the Queen. "I’ve always been very close to my grandmother, and we speak often. She has been an inspirational person throughout my life," he said.
And now Zara...
Zara Tindall, named by her uncle King Charles III, has made her mark as an equestrian, clinching a silver medal at the 2012 Olympics. She's grateful for her title-free life, which she believes offered her more opportunities.
Zara found love with rugby player Mike Tindall. The loved-up pair moved in together, setting up home in a cottage on her mother's Gatcombe estate. Six years later, just before Christmas 2010, Buckingham Palace announced their engagement.
Their wedding was a cozy affair compared to the grand royal nuptials. They're parents to three, with their youngest, Lucas Philip, making a dramatic entrance at home!
In June 2003 Zara secured a sponsorship deal with Cantor Index - the first royal to accept a commercial deal, which helped her Three Day Eventing career to flourish. In 2005, at Blenheim Palace, she emulated her mother by winning the individual European Eventing Championship title and went on to become World Eventing Champion in 2006.
Zara's equestrian accolades were accompanied by a tide of public support, with the gifted young rider being named BBC Sports Personality of the Year in December 2006 and winning an MBE for services to equestrianism in 2007.

Despite their non-royal titles, Peter and Zara remain fixtures in royal events, honoring their family's legacy. They've both experienced the joys and sorrows of royal life, from the jubilation of the Olympics and Platinum Jubilee to the somberness of Prince Philip's funeral.
The two are pretty close to each other as well, often seen smiling and having fun at formal events. It's clear that siblings have their royal lives pretty figured out.
Their bond with the late Queen and their dedication to their family's legacy is unwavering, as they continue to navigate the unique path set out for them by their mother, Princess Anne.
