Queen Elizabeth II.

Royal experts have noticed something in terms of body language...

This Is Why Queen Elizabeth Is Very Fond Of Kate Middleton

Officials at Buckingham Palace have confirmed Queen Elizabeth, who has always taken part in shooting and hunting, will no longer wear fur.

In a book by the Queen's longtime dresser Angela Kelly, The Other Side of the Coin: The Queen, the Dresser and the Wardrobeit was revealed that from now on the monarch will wear only fake fur in new designs and outfits. "If her Majesty is due to attend an engagement in particularly cold weather, from 2019 onwards fake fur will be used to make sure she stays warm," Kelly wrote.

This is why the Queen will go fur-free

The book also says some changes have already been made. The caption under a photo where the Queen is wearing an off-white tweed coat with mink in Slovakia, back in 2008, was edited - now it explains the mink has "been removed and will be replaced with fake fur." Though officials at Buckingham Palace pointed out she may still be seen wearing older fur items from her wardrobe.

It seems the Queen is joining a number of fashion labels that have opted to go fur-free in order to protect animal rights. Claire Bass, executive director of Humane Society Internationals U.K., said the British government "should follow her Majesty's example" on using innovative faux-fur fabrics, which are better for the environment.
