However, it is very likely that he will spend his birthday with his daughters, Princess Beatrice, and Princess Eugenie.
The Duke of York recently turned down a military role, after stepping back from his duties in November. He was due to be promoted to Admiral on his birthday, but asked if the promotion could be deferred.
