Sweet: Queen Elizabeth's new photo with dog Candy
The Queen is currently staying in Sandringham, but her puppy pic is from an earlier date in Windsor. Candy rushes up to the Queen, who warmly greets her pet with a smile.
In the photo, Queen Elizabeth is viewing memorabilia for her Golden and Platinum Jubilees. And it looks like Candy crashed the viewing session! Candy is the Queen's eldest pet dog.
Also interesting:
The photo comes ahead of a big weekend for the Queen. Sunday, Feb. 6, will mark 70 years since the death of her father King George VI.
The day also represents when the Queen ascended the throne. Her father passed away on Feb. 6, 1952, so the day (Accession Day) will mark her 70th year as ruler.
It's a solemn day for the Queen, and it's expected she'll remain in Sandringham for the occasion. She's been there since late January.
