Queen Elizabeth II is optimistic about the future despite the uncertainty that still lies ahead! As People shares, the royal reflected on some 2020 memories with a special Instagram post on Thursday, sharing some words of encouragement as the year draws to a close.

Queen Elizabeth II believes "better days will return"

Queen Elizabeth II highlighted a few memorable moments from the year, such as her wedding anniversary with Prince Philip and the knighting of Sir Tom Moore. "We should take comfort that while we may have more still to endure, better days will return: we will be with our friends again; we will be with our families again; we will meet again," she wrote. "Wishing you all a Happy and Healthy New Year."

As People shares, the queen's Instagram post saw her reiterate the message that she delivered to the United Kingdom back in April, during the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic.
