Queen Camilla channels Queen Elizabeth with her favourite jewels
As part of a three day trip to France, Queen Camilla attended the French state banquet in Paris on September 20th. She wowed attendees and fans alike in a gorgeous navy Dior gown, along with a matching cape.
What stood out the most, was Camilla's necklace, which was an altered version of Queen Elizabeth's most beloved jewels. The necklace and bracelet set from the King George VI Sapphire Suite had been a regular favourite of the late Queen's, and Camilla has given them a glamorous night out once again.
Royal historian Lauren Kiehna tells 'People' that this is not the first time Queen Camilla has worn pieces from Queen Elizabeth's collection.
“Over the past year, Queen Camilla has taken careful steps into the royal vaults, using selected pieces of jewelry that held great personal meaning for her late mother-in-law,” she says.
Over 160 people attended the fabulous banquet, including Hugh Grant and Mick Jagger!
