Princess Leonor is the future Queen of Spain, but before she can think of taking the throne she first has to go through many hoops. She recently finished her studies in July and now she has officially started her military training.

An emotional goodbye

Despite the photographers, the queen insisted on letting her emotions run free with a warm hug. Princess Sofia also had to say goodbye to her big sister. The two gave their farewells with a hug as well.

But not only her parents and her sister seemed to find it difficult to say goodbye. Leonor herself apparently struggled a bit with the farewell. The heir to the throne now has a lot ahead of her: she will begin her one-year military training course in Zaragoza.
