"Kate is expected to be away from public duties for some time," reported the 'Times of London' on Friday, May 3rd. The 42-year-old is unlikely to express interest in participating in events unless she "be keen to attend events as and when she feels able to."
Following her operation in January, it was initially projected that Kate would resume her royal duties in April. However, her hiatus was indefinitely prolonged following her cancer diagnosis.
Prince William's wife, Princess Kate (41), has expressed her desire to focus entirely on her cancer treatment. In January 2024, she underwent abdominal surgery, during which doctors unexpectedly discovered cancerous tissue. The public was informed of her diagnosis in March after she and Prince William disclosed the situation to their three children.

In a heartfelt video released via Kensington Palace on March 22, Kate personally shared, "My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventive chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment." She emphasized the shock of the news for both her and William, highlighting their efforts to navigate the situation privately for the sake of their young family.
