- Princess Charlotte will bear one of the most historically significant titles
- This is reported by Express
- THIS is how it happens
Princess Charlotte (7) will later follow in the footsteps of her great-aunt Princess Anne (72). As reported by Express, Charlotte will bear one of the most historically significant titles in all of royal history.
This is Princess Charlotte's future title
Since her birth on May 2nd, 2015, Charlotte is officially known as Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana of Cambridge. When Prince Charles becomes King, William will receive the title of Prince of Wales. Charlotte will then bear the title Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cornwall and Cambridge.
Also Interesting:
The title of Prince of Wales is linked to the senior duchy of Cornwall, which is why Charlotte will also have Cornwall in her title. When Prince William (40) becomes King, Charlotte will inherit the special title of Princess Royal. Such a title is usually bestowed on the monarch's eldest daughter, much like the Prince of Wales does on the monarch's eldest son.
The Queen's only daughter, Princess Anne, is the current Princess Royal and will remain so for the rest of her life. To learn more, check out the video above!
