Queen Elizabeth the II's only daughter Princess Anne has opened up in the documentary Anne: The Princess Royal at 70, and in it she gives her take on what she knows from the hit series The Crown.
Princess Anne On The Crown
Always well put together Anne was interviewed for her 70th birthday on the ITV documentary Anne: The Princess Royal At 70. She spoke about seeing a bit of the smash-hit series The Crown and specifically an interview of Erin Doherty who spoke about how long it took her to get into character as Princess Anne.
It takes the makeup and hair crew about two hours to transform Erin Doherty into the very distinct style Princess Anne has always had. Princess Anne said "Actually I read an article the other day about the, I don't watch Netflix and The Crown, but the actress was talking about how long it took them to do her hair like I did. And I'm thinking, 'How could you possibly take that long?' I mean it takes me 10 or 15 minutes."

In the new documentary, Princess Anne's two children whom she had with her first husband Mark Phillips, Zara and Peter, will be featured. In a preview of the doc the two grown up children speak about their mother's down to Earth nature. Zara said of her Royal mum "I always remember... that she would come home from engagements and she'll be in exactly what she was wearing and her make-up on and stuff. Put her welly boots on, her jacket on and then she walks up and goes to do her chickens and get her eggs."
Peter added how Anne prepped her children for Buckingham Palace balcony appearances saying "You then get a clip round the ear and say right, behave yourself, you know, we're going out on the balcony. Don't pick your nose and you know, don't yawn."
The documentary Anne: The Princess Royal At 70 will premiere on July 29th at 9 pm on ITV.
