While Prince Harry has been known for a more liberal take on his Royal title and Royal duties, the thirty-four year old allegedly wanted to abandon life as a royal. According to Express UK, royal biographer Penny Juror stated in the documentary Meghan Markle: American Princess that "there was a real danger at one time that Harry might turn his back on his Royal life and Royal responsibilities and go and live somewhere quietly."
Harry and Queen Have Playful Bond
With that being said, the Prince is said to have a genuine and playful bond with the Queen, which contrasts with his brother Prince William's more business-like relationship. It is almost as if Prince Harry knows and respects the Queen for her Royal title and duties, but also loves and respects her as his grandmother just the same.
With their strong bond, it was the Queen herself that reportedly talked Prince Harry out of abandoning his title and duties as a Royal. Even though Prince Harry and his wife Meghan stand out in the Royal family for doing things differently, we can be grateful that Harry decided to keep his Royal title and duties for the sake of the Queen.
